Chaz Rex is native to Door County. Chaz has held an interest in oil painting for several years, having studied with regional painter Peter Steinmetz in his formative years. He is very familiar with the topography of the landscape, and feels a strong connection to it, which is evident in his expressive paintings.
Chaz paints plein air on frequent and regular trips throughout Door County. He continues to develop his personal approach to landscape painting.
